Artist Talk Lada Nakonechna GROUND LEVEL

During the talk Lada Nakonechna will show her recent projects and describe her artistic approach to work with the images, anonymous found footage or specific documents.
The series of works Below Ground Level, which gave a title for the encounter, is based on the existing numerous representations of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Nakonechna processes the images in multiple ways, she collages a photograph with her drawing, removing or adding details, redrawing the photographic fragments, and reprinting them digitally. Artistic mediums interrogate each other for their values and potential to express the authenticity of a fact. She challenges artistic means and approaches and casts doubt on the ability of art to mediate.
